Beautiful Chaos in a Destructive Mind

October 2021
Chaotic Installation in my Living Room

A chaotic installation, demonstrating the consequences of escapism in Maladaptive Daydreaming through the sporadic use of various mundane materials in a living room.

I pace a lot. Sometimes it’s for 5 mins, sometimes it’s for hours. It’s kinda like my escape from reality. But now I feel like my pacing is distracting me from my life and I’m ignoring my responsibilities.

This piece is about that.

The shirt represents me in this chaotic scene. The colourful shiny front of my shirt depicts my imagination. While the back of it shows how I am still apart of reality and there is a need for me to stop pacing and focus on the chaos surrounding me.
